Protect The Burr At All Costs

On Saturday, December 4, our Lady Bison protected The Burr at all costs, winning in overtime 64 - 62 against Hofstra. This places them at an overall record of 4 - 4, leaving them undefeated at home. Our Lady Bison came out the gates swinging, leading the first half 28 - 15 with their biggest lead of 14 points in the second quarter with 9 minutes left until the half. In the second half, however, Hofstra took advantage of turnovers and second chances, bringing the game into overtime. With a stellar performance from Destiny Howell, Anzhanae Hutton, Brooklyn Fort-Davis, and Iyanna Warren, our Lady Bison were able to defeat Hofstra with seconds to spare. Warren was not only one of our leading scorers for the game, but she supported her team with an impressive 8 assists. Our 2020 - 2021 MEAC Rookie of the Year, Anzhanae Hutton, was a key player defensively outperforming everyone with 12 Rebounds, where 7 of those were defensive. Simply put, our Lady Bison out hustled Hofstra and worked together to secure this win. We look forward to seeing our Lady Bison play at George Washington December 12 at 2pm. If you can not be in attendance, the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
